Skip Secures Spot on LinkedIn’s Top Startups List for 2026

Skip has ranked #13, recognised for its growth, talent and fresh approach to home lending.

Homegrown non-bank lender Skip has been shortlisted as one of Australia’s most innovative companies with LinkedIn labeling the company one of the country’s most desirable startups.

Skip ranked number 13 of the annual list, which celebrates the country’s twenty fastest-growing businesses and has previously featured category-defining startups like Canva (2018), Airwallex (2019), Employment Hero (2021) and SafetyCulture (2022). More recent alumni of the shortlist include Eucalyptus (2024), AI pioneer Heidi Health (2025) and fintech Constantinople (2026).

Compiled annually by LinkedIn News, the Top Startups List measures employment growth, industry engagement and a company's ability to attract top-tier talent. Skip’s placement on the list follows a rapid national expansion over the last twelve months, with the team growing onshore headcount by 72%.

“To be recognised alongside some of Australia's most historically impressive industry disruptors is a validation of our vision and the real-world impact we are having on the home loan sector. This is a brilliant accolade for our hardworking team who show up every day with a belief that peak outcomes require peak performance. In Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane our teams on the ground are determined to make a difference,” said COO and Co-Founder Adam Trouncer.

Since 2022 Skip has served hard-working Australians capable of servicing a mortgage but underserviced by the rigid lending criteria of the major banks. The capital-light model and expert credit analysis have enabled unique products, including 2% deposit home loans without Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI).

“Four years in, this recognition belongs to our team and our customers. Every day our team works to make home ownership possible for people the traditional system has overlooked. Our customers trust us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and that’s what drives the culture we’re building at Skip,” added CFO and Co-Founder Marian Emmanuel.

Skip’s proprietary lending model has expanded rapidly across Australia's major aggregator panels, giving thousands of mortgage brokers access to up to 98% LVR lending solutions. Powered by local engineering prowess, the team has recently delivered key technology integrations for major industry partners, including Mortgage Choice, LMG and Connective.

The accolade builds on Skip’s earlier recognition as a standout performer in the WeMoney Home Loan Awards where they claimed three major honours, including Best for First Home Buyers, Best Low Deposit Home Loan and Most Innovative Lender of the Year 2026.
